6 Things to Consider When Buying a Dryer

When buying a new appliance like dryers you have a lot to think about. There are lots of models out there and you don’t want to just buy the first one you see.

Buying a Dryer: What to Consider

  1. Do you want Gas or Electric? Gas is cheaper on your energy bill but requires a gas line.
  2. Front loading or top loading? Front loading is more energy efficient but maybe there is a reason why you would want top loading.
  3. Capacity. Do you normally do large loads? A family of 8 will want a larger capacity dryer than a couple with no children as they will have more laundry to do.
  4. Noise Level. How loud is your dryer? Does the noise of appliances bother you? Do you want it loud so you notice when it is done and it is time to switch the laundry?
  5. Cost. How much are you willing to spend? Make sure you compare prices at stores too.
  6. Warranties. How long is the warranty? You would hate to spend lots of money on a new appliance only to have it break down and not have it under warranty.

I’ve decided I want a gas, front loading, high capacity, medium noise level, low cost, long warranty dryer!
