Another spoof movie similar to the Scary Movie series, Epic Movie, and Not Another Teen Movie; 30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with The Devil Inside The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, follows the same comedy formula. Following the Paranormal Activity structure a young couple experiences a haunting that they capture with cameras set up all over their house. Hijinks ensue as the ghost tries to scare the family out of the house. Several scenes cut away to the ghost being interviewed in a reality TV show style throughout the movie and Abraham Lincoln even shows up as the neighbour.
Yes that’s right Abraham Lincoln (as in the Vampire Slayer from the movie of the same name)
You can easily see how quickly the movie just gets ridiculous and if that’s the sort of comedy you enjoy then you should enjoy this movie. Fart jokes, peeing in a toilet until it overflows and a gay dude having sex with the robotic pool cleaner are the big low points of the movie. If your looking for something with a plot steer clear of this movie. The movie is not about plot or believable characters its just crazy antics, cheap gags, a little nudity and cheesy acting. The movie is a mash-up with bits and pieces of several movies that have nothing to do with one another. Some parts of the movie just weren’t funny or I didn’t get the joke as some of the movies they were spoofing I simply haven’t seen yet.
I did laugh out loud though at some parts and in my opinion the movie is no better than the other recent spoof movies I mentioned before like Scary Movie. I would give it two out of five stars.
