Two Picture Books

Spread the love

Here are two cute picture books for children. One is about math and opposites and the other is about imagination and being silly.

Sometimes We Do by Omo Moses (Illustrated by Diego Chaves)

Sometimes We Do by Omo Moses (Illustrated by Diego Chaves) is a picture book that talks about math concepts and opposites. The book has the characters counting blueberries and talking about big/small or thick/thin pancakes. There is an underlying story of Grandma’s special ingredient for the Pancakes and about sometimes we do one thing and sometimes another.

The Book of Wrong Answers by Penny Noyce (Illustrated by Diego Chaves)

The Book of Wrong Answers by Penny Noyce (Illustrated by Diego Chaves) has an older brother talking to a younger sister. The sister asks questions and the brother answers in imaginative and silly ways (as opposed to the correct answer.) The back of the book has the real explanations though. For example when wondering how people fit inside the airplanes he says they get really little but don’t know they are little. Or when wondering how people don’t fall off the earth he says they have metal shoes and the earth is a magnet.
