A favorite of readers ages 6 to 12, both avid and less so, It is a winner for those looking for their next funny illustrated middle grade book series.

Stick Dog

This is a cute series with the kind of illustrations I’m capable of doing… stick drawings. At the beginning of the book the author talks directly to us and explains his drawing style. He shows examples of his drawing ability or lack there of. In Chapter 2 we are introduced to Stick Dog and his friends who are homeless. After that the storyline centers on them trying to get a hold of some hamburgers. They make plan after plan and antics ensue.

From My Daughter:

It is a great book. It’s a chapter book with 10 chapters. It has some pictures in it. The main goal of the dogs in the book was to get some hamburgers. It was easy to read except for some words. There are Stick Cat books too.
