Bottle Feeding Pet Peeve

My bottle feeding pet peeve is when the nipples collapse while your baby is sucking so that she can’t get milk out anymore. Since I started exclusively pumping for my daughter, I use a lot of bottles. She is impatient and sucks the bottle dry most times, she doesn’t want to let go to let some air into the bottle.

Evenflo Proflow Nipples

The new Evenflo Proflow nipples solve that problem. These nipples have a little vent built right into them that somehow stops the nipple from collapsing. Honestly I can’t figure out how it works but luckily, I don’t have to do anything special to get it to work. I just put the nipple in the ring and screw it onto the bottle, just like any other bottle.

There are a few different bottle sets that include these vented nipples. The bottles featured here come from the Evenflo Feeding Classic Twist + Vented Bottles which you can get in a 3-pack of 4oz or 8oz bottles. If you prefer glass bottles there are Evenflo feeding Classic Glass + Vented bottles as well.

You can’t tell from the photos because it’s hard to see but the bottle does have markers on it for oz and mL. The bottles are lightweight and the bottle itself is made of flexible material that has some give. I do worry about the bottle ring though. It seems like it might break easily if it was stepped on although I haven’t had a problem with it.
