I am happy and proud to be Canadian for many reasons, one of which is a safe living environment for my family with free healthcare and a supply of clean water.

Access to Clean Water

Millions of people around the world in less developed areas cannot say the same thing. Where clean water is not readily available, their are more diseases from the contaminated water and more children are dying every day than HIV/AIDS and Malaria combined. (Source: World Health Organization)

P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program

P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) program helps provide clean drinking water to people in need through a water purifying technology developed by P&G.  More than 7 billion litres of clean drinking water have been provided by humanitarian organizations across the globe using P&G packets which is estimated to have saved 39,000 lives in more than 75 countries!

P&G and Walmart teamed up in the Spring to donate one day of clean water for every P&G product purchased at Walmart or Walmart.ca during the month of April. Thanks to caring Canadians, 8.6 million days of clean water were donated. Since then, other P&G products have helped generate more donations. To help bring the program closer to its goal of donating 25 million litres of water in a 12 month period, P&G and Walmart have opened up the program again to include every P&G product bought from July 16-31, 2014.
