Reminiscing About Barbies
My girls have style and I let them express it as best as they can. They’ve dressed themselves since they were 3 and while I don’t always agree with their choices, I try to bite my tongue. Who am I to critique their sense of fashion and style? I can readily admit I don’t have a sense of style myself.
I’m glad my little fashionistas enjoy dressing themselves and doing up their hair, even if it does take us longer to get out of the house that way! They also enjoy drawing and sketching fashions and they both have little booklets that allow them to design their own fashions.
They do the same thing with their Barbies; changing their clothing, shoes and hair styles regularly. I remember as a child playing with Barbies I did the same thing, often playing “salon” in the bathroom as I washed, dried, brushed and styled my Barbie’s hair. My very first Barbie was one that used to be my moms. She had saved it from when she was a kid to give to her daughter someday and that she did. I did the same thing by passing on one of my Barbie’s to my daughters and maybe one day they will do the same.

Then upload a photo of yourself, your friends and Barbie showing your fave style or look! Don’t be afraid to express yourself. You’ll have to hurry though as contest closes March 23.
