Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations

Microwaveable meals like Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations are perfect for:

  1. When you need a quick but filling meal on a busy day.
  2. When you need to bring your own lunch but want something more than a sandwich or fast food.
  3. You want to try new meals or flavours but don’t want to make a whole meal yourself or get it from a restaurant (and then potentially not like it and waste money.)

Lean Cuisine makes microwaveable meals for the health conscious person. The new Fresh Inspirations line brings 6 new meals that will be simmered and steamed at the same time.

Fresh Inspirations Flavours

  • Thai Chicken (Chicken in Thai sauce with sweet baby corn and market vegetables on whole grain brown rice)
  • Chicken Teriyaki (Chicken in sweet Teriyaki sauce, snap peas and a vegetable medley served on brown rice)
  • Chili Lime Beef (Beef in a zesty Asian-inspired sauce, edamame, red peppers and broccoli served on of white rice)
  • Roast Garlic Chicken  (Chicken in a creamy garlic sauce served with red potatoes, broccoli and zucchini)
  • Shrimp Alfredo  (Shrimp in a creamy Alfredo sauce, fusilli pasta, broccoli, yellow carrots and red  peppers)
  • Mediterranean Chicken (Broccoli, carrots and red bell peppers, served with chicken and penne pasta in a tomato sauce)

The Taste Test

I tried the Chicken Teriyaki, Chili Lime Beef, Roast Garlic Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo. My favourite was the Shrimp Alfredo. I am picky so I wasn’t wild about the sauces but since they are cooked separately from the vegetables, I was able to not add all the sauce so it wasn’t too overpowering for me. I really appreciated this.

My brother had the Chicken Teriyaki and Mediterranean Chicken. He’s not as picky as me and he says they were both very good. The Thai Chicken is still in my freezer. Reading the instructions seemed a bit complicated at first but it’s really not. There are just a few steps.

Simmer & Steam Technology

I think it’s neat how the meat simmers in the sauce while the vegetables steam. The video below shows how that works.
