New Chocolate Products from President’s Choice

Spread the love

Chocolate is a big part of Christmas for me and President’s Choice must think so too because they’ve released a bunch of new chocolaty items for you to enjoy.

Up first is the new Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Bark. That link will show you all the details about calories, fat, sugar etc…. However, I can tell you what it tastes like! It was very chocolaty and crunchy. Like other barks, it’s one big long piece that you break yourself into as big or small a piece as you’d like.

Next they’ve introduced Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salts. The idea is that you don’t have to pick between Salty or Sweet but instead can have both together. Personally I don’t like my sweet and salty mixed and perhaps this is the reason why I didn’t like the sea salt. It was too strong and I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth. However the Chocolate Covered Caramels themselves were amazing. If I picked off all salt, it tasted wonderful. Perhaps someone else would appreciate the salt more.
Next we have my favourite, the Belgian Chocolate Mousse Cups. These are little cups of dark or milk chocolate with 5 different mousse fillings. The cups are bite sized, you can put the whole thing in your mouth. I wish the box had more in them because they went fast! Oh these were so good!

Finally, the last of the new Chocolate products is The Decadent Hot Chocolate Mix. I love hot chocolate so I was anxious to try this. This is not your average hot chocolate. You warm up milk on the stove and then add a tablespoon of chocolate mix, stir and serve. It’s very rich, being made with dark chocolate and milk. In fact it was a little too rich for me. Also, since you mix it with chocolate, it’s not lactose intolerant friendly. I’m lactose intolerant so my stomach didn’t agree with the hot chocolate and I couldn’t finish the cup but it was good and I will be having more.

President’s Choice products are available at Loblaws, Zehrs, Fortinos, Real Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore, Maxi, No Frills, Provigo, Extra Foods and more. All products may not be available at all stores. Visit www.pc.ca for more information.
