I found some Christmas Advent resources from a great website called Twinkl. They are perfect for both teachers and homeschooling families.
Twinkl is my favourite website for homeschooling materials. It has both free and premium resources. If you aren’t sure about premium yet though, sign up for their newsletter to get a coupon for FREE premium resources about 3 times a month!
Disclosure: I received compensation for this post, however I really do love Twinkl and have been sharing its resources for months.
I use Twinkl.ca but there is a site for many different countries. Even cooler is you can access resources from other countries from all the sites.
Let me tell you about the Advent of Reading resources I mentioned. At the Advent of Reading sub page you will find an advent calendar of reading resources for Christmas.
“For the next 27 days we will share a new reading comprehension resource each day until the holidays. We will start early to ensure these can be used in the classroom up until the final school day. Our advent resources will cover a whole host of topics including Christmas around the world, holiday wellbeing and positivity, the history of Christmas, gift ideas and much more! And the best bit, the first 3 Advent Reading Resources are FREE! “Twinkl.ca
You can access the resources from the Advent of Reading webpage. You can also search Twinkl.ca for “advent of reading” to see all the choices listed with topics. These would make a great Christmas countdown activity in your classroom or homeschool. You can do them all or pick and choose the ones that would fit best.
I especially love Day 2 – Service to Others (FREE!), Day 5 – Wellbeing During Christmas and Day 11 – Gift Ideas to Make at Home.
There are hundreds of other Christmas activities to find there too. You can search by grade and then under holidays or just type something in the search bar. Some activities are free but if they are not, a premium account is just $7 or $8 a month!
Twinkl is the website I get our school activities from the most. They are all high quality, clean and crisp and usually come in colour, and black and white so you can choose what works best for you.
